We hired Madeline for our son's 5th birthday party in September. We gave her a theme (flamingos) and she created a custom craft for the kids - individually packaged and ready to go! The kids loved it and were enthralled with her personality and direction throughout the craft project. She was punctual and in great communication, and we can't wait to hire her again!

We hired Madeline for our daughter's 9th birthday party. Madeline was AWESOME! The craft was completely customizable - so our daughter got to pick in advance what she wanted to make. Madeline came to the house and set up her workshop right in our dining room. The kids spent two hours creating adorable dresses for their dolls using a combinatio of hand and machine sewing. Madeline was patient and kind. At the end of the party, the kids were saying they wished she taught at their school so they could have her as a teacher. Will definitely be hiring her again!

I have known Maddy since she was nine years old, when she began taking art lessons in my studio. As a professional, full-time artist, I rarely teach such young students, but even at that age, I was impressed by her focus, curiosity, enthusiasm, sensitivity and thoughtfulness. She was a pleasure to have in the studio.
We have stayed in regular contact through the years, giving me the opportunity to watch her mature from student to fashion designer to teacher. We collaborated on her senior collection at Drexel University, where Maddy used some of my artwork to create custom fabric that she incorporated into her children’s wear (a line which earned Best In Show). It was clear that she had combined her love of art with her interest in working with children. Her ability to work with the very young models, aged 3 to 10, fitting them for clothing and teaching them to walk the runway confidently in front of a large audience, is testament to her patience and empathy for children. It was after this experience that she discovered her true passion and calling in life, which is teaching children, showing them the joy of learning and helping them gain confidence in their own abilities.

Madeline held a craft session for our two kids over the summer at our house and it was a lovely experience! Our kids enjoyed her company, talking with her and learning how to sew by hand and even with a sewing machine. They each made a final craft to keep after the session and they loved them. We hope to have Madeline over to do another session with them again soon. Highly recommend as a positive and productive activity for kids who enjoy crafts and super convenient for busy parents since she comes right to your house.
